Templating: 
Our technicians will arrive on the job site to make accurate patterns of the areas where the granite will be installed. Before a master template can be made certain requirements must be met. 

Cabinet Placement & Fastening: 
The cabinets must be set and fastened into their permanent location at the time of the templating. No end gable, doors or drawers should be missing. The cabinets must be straight and level with one another. Marble And Marble will template old kitchens only if the cabinets are in good condition. 

Existing countertops must be removed prior to installation, this service is provided by Marble And Marble as an upgrade.

Sinks: 
If you choose to have an under mount sink to be installed with your granite countertop, the sink should be at the jobsite for the template appointment so that we may take the proper measurements, and we can confirm that your sink is usable for your specific job. 

Frequently sinks are purchased without taking proper measurements and sometimes are impossible to be used. Our technicians will then bring back the sink template and/or the sink itself to our shop, so that we may perform the most precise cut out. If you choose an over mount sink to be installed with your granite countertop, the sink, and all of the plumbing fixtures should be at the jobsite at the time of templating and installation. 

The installation of any under mount sink is standard, while drains and faucets installation we leave to your plumber. 

Stove Tops: 
If you choose the "drop-in" style stove top that has a pop-up down draft, it is important that the appliance is at the jobsite when out technician is taking the measurements for the template. This unit fits very closely to the backsplash if you choose to have one, therefore it must be very accurate. 

Fabrication:
During the fabrication process our experienced cutting specialists are required to make decisions about where to place the necessary joints also called seems. Our technicians are instructed to keep the joints to a minimum, while maximizing the stone use of each slab.

Our fabricators, and installers at Marble And Marble are all highly skilled in order to cut, fabricate, and install these granite countertops in your home.

Build up edges: 
when the cabinet doors are almost level with the top of the cabinets and you are using 1 ½ build up type of edges, we need to raise the stone top by usually ¾” and we do this by using plywood strips, fasten to the top of the cabinets by our installers.

Faucet holes: 
Faucet holes can be drilled in shop or on the job site, we live this choice to our technicians depending on the strength

Installation: 
Installation of your granite usually requires up to 10 business days after templating. However Marble And Marble prides itself on quick installations, sometimes as quick a week after. We will contact you to arrange a time and date for a templating and installation. Our professional staff will arrive at your jobsite as early as possible. Installation normally takes half day, however some larger jobs may take longer. Our installers are artists; they must create a furniture top that is durable, and visually stunning. We strive on customer service, and customer satisfaction. At Marble And Marble "if your not happy, were not happy".

The installation area should be free of construction materials, and appliances specially cook top and older countertop. This allows our professional staff to come in, and immediately go to work. The jobsite should have water, and electricity available to our installers. We do not make a lot of dust, however some is inevitable, so we ask you to remove everything from your cupboards at the time of installation. When your granite countertop has been installed and cleaned, out technicians will apply a penetrating sealer to the surface of the countertops. The installation is now complete, however you must allow the granite to weld itself to the countertop for a period of at least 12 hours before your plumber will be able to work on it. Before our crew leaves the jobsite they will be sure that the jobsite is clean to your satisfaction.
